Start with building management
Ask each building about allowed moving days and hours, elevator reservations, loading access, floor protection and required documents. Get the current instructions in writing where possible and share them with Heat Movers for review. Requirements vary by property.
Map the route to your front door
Tell us the floor number, whether there are stairs, the elevator dimensions and the distance from the loading area. Mention low garage clearances, narrow corridors, tight turns or furniture that will not fit in the elevator. Photos can make these details easier to discuss.
Coordinate both ends
An available elevator at pickup does not guarantee delivery access. Confirm the procedures at both properties and discuss any conflicting windows before finalizing the plan. Arrange keys, gate access and a contact who can help on arrival.
Prepare your apartment
Label boxes by destination room. Keep hallways and doors unobstructed and set aside personal essentials. Tell the crew which items need special attention and which are staying. Use a final room-by-room check before returning keys.
